Annual Turkey Shoot event announcement

Annual Turkey Shoot
Saturday, December 20th

This year the entire event will be held at the
New River 2 desert shooting spot.

Be there at 7:15 AM. We will begin at 7:30AM.

Targets will be both steel and paper,
as well as clays for Elimination shotgun.

Remember to bring a lunch, as this event takes most of the day. The event usually finishes around 3:00 PM with the award of prizes.

Bring:
Rifles:
A reliable RF autoloader;
An accurate RF repeater or autoloader;
150 rounds of RF ammo;
A repeating CF rifle with 20 rounds;

Handgun:
A reliable RF autoloader;
CF autoloader or revolver
(for targets up to 100 yards);

Shotgun:
Your favorite for our Elimination game;
3 boxes of shells

Eye and ear protection
Your own refreshments and lunch
Folding chair, shade at your option
If you have it, bring a portable white table
and a timer

Entry: $10.00 per shooter ($5 for clays and $5 for the club treasury).

Directions to New River 2: Exit I-17 at the New River Road Exit. Go southwest on New River Road for .3 miles. Turn right (north). After .1 miles, road will turn to the northwest and soon turn to dirt. Follow dirt road until it hits the pipeline road .5 miles after the northwest turn. Turn right on the pipeline road and follow it to the northeast for 1.6 miles to GPS coordinates N33° 56.201' W112° 08.680'. Turn left on faint jeep track. Follow jeep track for .55 miles to GPS coordinates N33° 56.368' W112° 09.154'. A high clearance vehicle will be required.

Only current HSC members and immediate family are eligible for prizes.
Guests are welcome to shoot for fun and practice.

The 2025 Top Gun hat goes to HOA, no gift certificates this year.
