Rimfire Steel Challenge

Saturday, October 21st
at the New River 2 shooting spot

This will be a fun shoot that combines off-hand and barricade shooting of reactive
steel targets. There will be stages for both .22 rifles and .22 handguns.
Five to six stages for each round, maybe two rounds.

Sign-in starts at 7:00 AM
Safety brief and stage walk thru start at 7:20 AM
Shoot starts at 7:30 AM

Ammunition is restricted to .22 long rifle, long and short rimfire only.
Semi-auto type weapons and large capacity magazines are best suited for this shoot.
However, anything you want to use is fine.

Bring plenty of ammo. Two hundred rounds at least.
Load up your magazines before arriving to save time and keep the shoot rolling.
Chairs, shade, water and any other refreshments or comforts are up to you.

NO ENTRY FEES

Introduce friends and family to the fun of the shooting sports by inviting them to attend.

Directions to New River 2: Exit I-17 at the New River Road Exit. Go southwest on New River Road for .3 miles. Turn right (north). After .1 miles, road will turn to the northwest and soon turn to dirt. Follow dirt road until it hits the pipeline road .5 miles after the northwest turn. Turn right on the pipeline road and follow it to the northeast for 1.6 miles to GPS coordinates
N33° 56.201' W112° 08.680'. Turn left on faint jeep track. Follow jeep track for .55 miles to GPS coordinates N33° 56.368' W112° 09.154'. A high clearance vehicle will be required.
