Field Rimfire Benchrest

Saturday Morning, April 20th

at the New River 2 desert shooting spot

Bring your own bench, bench bags or other support equipment, target stand, and target frame. If you need a bench and/or support stuff, let us know, some of us may have extras. Be there early enough that bench and target are set up for shooting to begin by 7:30 AM.

Rifles must be chambered in 22LR and be designed to feed from a magazine and shoot 22 LR ammo. No restrictions on type of ammo.

Course of fire: 4 relays - 20 shots in 20 min; then twice 30 shots in 20 minutes; then 20 shots in 15 minutes; all at 50 yards. We will retrieve and score the targets after each relay. It’s OK to additionally post your own sighter targets; unlimited sighter shots allowed WITHIN the given time limits.

Download and bring to the match four of the Field Rimfire Benchrest targets from the Computer Printable Targets page on our website.

ALSO, if you are interested, we're planning on a separate, short (20 shots for score) BR100 match, with target at, you guessed it, 100 yards. If you want to try that, download THIS TARGET, print, and write your name or other mark on it, big and bold enough that you can identify your target at 100 yards through your scope, and then bring it with you. The host will bring the target frame(s) for this.

No entry fee. No prizes awarded.
Bring your own chair, shooting glasses; refreshments; etc.
Guests are welcome to participate.
